School shopping with mom...part one.

I know, it's only July. But with 3 kids in school and August half gone because of some family trips, we are starting now. It's so special when I take only one at a time. I can really listen to them talk. We share stories, laugh, and of course, SHOP. Today was Sophie's day.

Tribute to My Brother

My brother Mark,

He's amazing and cute,

and His lovely wife

They have a little dog,

Her name is Marva.

I think it's cool,

cuz it rhymes with 'Larva'.



And then they have children,

two girls and one boy.

'He' smells like a sock,

'They' like St. Croix.



I showed him my blog,

He thought it was cute.

I used his computer,

I guess I shouldn't have.

Summer Happenings

FAMILY CAMP!! Lets party!!

Tuesday was an important day this week: The SANDCASTLE BUILDING CONTEST. These close cousins put their heart and soul into building what they called "Cryderman Cove."

Although they didn't win, they gave it a great try!

This little girl was a gem today. As I dealt with the everyday moments with each child, this one I rarely saw. She was busy playing with her "fashion pollys". The ENTIRE day. She was so sweet looking, I had to snap a few pictures of just her and that sweet face that I love so much. Thank you Mylie, for having such a great imagination.

Cool Pictures from John Ball Zoo

Our family gets the privilege of traveling with Chris on his business trips. On the way home from Grand Rapids today, we stopped at the John Ball Zoo. What a fun place!

The coolest part of today was being up close and personal with a wallaby.

Crisilee. Our animal lover. She tends to gravitate towards the most homely, or sick animals. I love her tender heart.

Ahh, the joy in her face! I can't get enough of this smile of yours, Sophie!

Here is my sweet, sweet Mylie Belle. This kid enjoys every second of her life.

At one point there were about three birds trying to make a nest in my hair. This was very funny and Darby got a kick out out of it!

It was so cute to watch Darby with these birds. She was a little frightened at first, but then quickly decided it was more fun then scary. I love her face, studying this bird.

Coolest chicks ever! Aly & AJ were performing a free concert in Detroit. We were right up front!
